Great news! Grandmother Park will be the recipient of the Summer Whole Foods 5% Day! That means that our project will receive 5% of the gross receipts from Whole Foods on August 31, 2011. Be sure to bring your shopping list and don’t forget to stock up for Labor Day Weekend!

Grandmother Park is thrilled to announce that we have been given a grant by Safeway Foods Corporation in the amount of $25,000! Special thanks go to our Alderman, Peter Braithewaite for his hard work on our behalf.

Thanks to everyone who came out to support the Grand Mother Park rummage sale. Through neighbors donating items to sale, our numerous volunteers, and shoppers from all around we were able to more than double our goal and raise $3000!

Thank you to the Evanston Community Foundation for supporting our project for the second year running! We are proud to be the recipient of a $3,800 grant to be used during 2011-2012 to raise awareness of our project.
